In his series ‘In Relation’, human relationships to one another play an important role.

‘In Relation’ is a series of still lives inspired by contemporary family pictures and old family portraits and still lives from the old masters.
By the photo format and alignment of the bottles and glasses, these are getting something human. He is giving power to the pictures by letting the colors contrast to each other or just letting them cancel each other out, creating a poignant rest in the picture.

Ron wants to show another side of families. He makes hidden damages within the families visible. The glass is a metaphor for the vulnerability and gives the picture his static stilled character.
