21 imagesThe series 'In a mask' is still life with food. Ron is playing with the structure of different kinds of ingredients often used in the kitchen of restaurants. By placing them in a certain way they become like the wooden masks we often see in traditional cultures. The pictures are for sale on this page.

10 imagesIn the series ‘In Motion,’ Ron plays with the reflections of background colors in the clear water-filled glasses that seem to move around each other. The tranquility of the glasses are symbolising his much clearer view of the emotions, he struggled with in earlier days. For him, the distortion of the background is a form to show how often our emotions are changing the way in which we see the world around us. In how we act towards each other and move away from ourselves so often. Again the strong use of colors is giving the pictures a certain power and vulnerability. This series is represented by ART gogo Shanghai and SBK Amsterdam and you can contact Ron for ordering the print on Canson fine art paper mount on 3 mm Dibond in edition of 7

23 imagesIn his series ‘In Relation’, human relationships with one another play an important role. ‘In Relation’ is a series of still lives inspired by contemporary family pictures and old family portraits and still lives from the old masters. By the photo format and alignment of the bottles and glasses, these are getting something human. He is giving power to the pictures by letting the colors contrast with each other or just letting them cancel each other out, creating a poignant rest in the picture. Ron wants to show another side of families. He makes hidden damages within the families visible. The glass is a metaphor for the vulnerability and gives the picture of his static stilled character. This series is represented by ART gogo Shanghai and SBK Amsterdam and you can contact Ron for ordering the print on Canson fine art paper mount on 3 mm Dibond in edition of 5.

18 imagesIn his latest series ‘In Shame,’ you can find the contrast in the bottles by themselves quite clearly. One is broken the other not. At least not visible. Shame is a big part of our lives, and most of the time we don’t even realize it. Our ego tries to hide what is hurting us inside. We often try to sell the part that we think the world finds the most interesting. But is that really the best part of us? If we show our vulnerability, aren’t we getting more value?!? Being ashamed of what happened to them, can make people try to make themselves disappear in the crowd. They can dissolve themselves in their environment. But if you watch carefully and with interest, they become clear and beautiful people. This series is represented by ART gogo Shanghai and SBK Amsterdam and you can contact Ron for ordering the print on Canson fine art paper mount on 3 mm Dibond in edition of 7

14 imagesIn the series 'Nothing like home,' Ron worked together with designer Ingrid van der Veen. The project was part of The Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven, The Netherlands in 2016 and published and exposed on Maison & Object in Paris, France in 2018. More and more houses become like the staged sceneries that are published on social media. The rooms are decorated like the photos that are often sponsored by some designer brands. The series is a reaction to how Social Media influences our lives. How it affects our identity. The pictures are for sale on this page.

15 imagesOur cities are full of staged settings like they are put there as still life if you look carefully. But these still lifes are not created by Ron alone. In this case, he combines his documenting way of photography with his creating, sculpting way. The setting is there but like a painter, he changes the colors to what he saw there. He takes things out of the picture like a sculptor takes away parts of a stone to create what he sees in this stone. Ron sees the world as a collection of still lifes. He photographs as a painter and a sculptor The pictures are for sale on this page.
