Recent Studio Portraits I took for various clients and autonomous work.
I like to work in a setting where the background could tell a bit about the story of the person in the picture. Not right in the viewers face. But just enough to get the viewers attention to look a little bit longer at the picture. It doesn’t have to be my story. The viewer can make one of his own. That’s why I almost never do a close-up from the person in the person who I take a portrait of. For me a portrait is more then just some ones face. In my autonomous portraits for me the person is less important then the expression I wont to give to the picture.
My inspiration for my portraits I get from photographers like Martin Schoeller, Erwin Olaf and David Lachapelle
